Information Conflict is a 2D mobile quiz-based competition game designed to deliver both strategic and engaging gameplay. The game offers two main modes: single-player and two-player, each customizable through difficulty level and match duration settings.

In single-player mode, the player competes against an AI opponent whose difficulty can be set to easy, medium, or hard. The AI difficulty affects its behavior, including its chance of answering correctly or skipping questions. In two-player mode, two real players face off on the same device.

At the start of the match, the first turn is assigned randomly, and all subsequent turns continue in a strict alternating order, ensuring fairness and structured gameplay flow. Each question has a time limit, difficulty rating, and corresponding score value. Answering correctly awards points; incorrect answers or timeouts cause players to lose a portion of that question’s score, and they can even drop into negative values. Correct answers also activate a rope mechanic where the answering player pulls the opponent closer to a pit located at the center of the arena. Once a player falls into the pit, they instantly lose regardless of their score.

A match can end in three ways: a player falling into the pit, the match timer expiring, or all questions being exhausted. If time or questions run out, the player with the highest score wins. While the game is currently offline, its structure is well-suited for future online multiplayer adaptation.

The settings menu allows players to control sound and effects, and includes options such as replaying the match or returning to the main menu.

This project was developed by a two-person team, and I primarily took responsibility for programming and implementing the gameplay mechanics.
